About Fullcast Podcast
Exploring the craft of full-cast audio drama with hosts Bryan Lincoln and Abigail Hilton.
The Hosts
Fullcast Podcast is hosted by Bryan Lincoln and Abigail Hilton. Together they bring years of experience in audio production, voice acting, and storytelling to every episode. Bryan is the author of the novel Malcontent, which serves as the show's flagship full-cast adaptation project. Abigail provides editorial commentary and production insight drawn from her own creative work.
Our Mission
The show examines what sets a full-cast production apart from a traditional audio drama — a distinction highlighted by the Parsec Awards and debated across the community. Episodes dig into the practical side of the craft:
- Recording and editing techniques for multi-voice productions
- Software workflows, from Audacity to Reaper
- Marketing strategies and the hobbyist-versus-professional conversation
- Interviews with working producers, voice actors, and cover artists
Guests have included Obsidian Abnormal, J Daniel Sawyer, P.G. Holyfield, Rish Outfield, Big Anklevich, Christof Laputka, Nobi Nakanishi, John Lincoln, Chris Lester, Justin Macumber, James Durham, Scott Pigg, Nathan Lowell, P.C. Haring, L. “Scribe” Harris, James Baxter, Norm Sherman, Michael Stokes, Renee Chambliss, and Nobilis Reed.
The Malcontent Project
At the center of the podcast is the audio adaptation of Bryan Richard Lincoln's novel Malcontent. Draft chapters have been shared for listener review, with Abigail Hilton providing detailed commentary on the text. A formal casting call for the project closed on November 30, 2011.
